How many of us, as Cuban Americans, have found ourselves cringing when we see the Cuban and Cuban-American narrative misrepresented on the screen. Romanticized and told dangerously crooked.

That’s all about to change, and you can be a part of that change.

The pen, the camera, the power has been in the hands of people who don’t understand our story. Now, you have the power. You have the power to open the door for the people and creatives who know how to tell the story as it is –tell it new. Tell it full, and for the first time, tell it true.

You don’t have to be a billionaire or millionaire to make change. The ocean is made of drops. The shore of grains of sand. Every single grain and drop counts. Every single one turns the tide.

For many refugees, survival is the first step. But we’re here to move to the next level. We’re not here just to survive, we’re here to thrive. We’re here to make sure our story sails across generations, across the greatest of all oceans.

And, by doing so, sets the tone for other stories to come. That’s what it means to change the tide.
